CORE boot camp operates in conjunction with the Newton Recreation Department. The program has been in existence since May 2009.
There are currently two locations in Newton, Ma. 69 Tyler Terrace at the Newton Center Playground. Classes are held outside on the playground during the spring and summer seasons. Classes move inside “The Hut” during the late fall and winter months.
In July 2010 we started our second location at 545 Grove Street at the Lower Falls Community Center. Classes are held outside on basketball court during spring and summer seasons. Once late autumn and winter arrive we move into the community center gym. You can enter the gym from the double doors on the parking lot or the back door that enters directly into the gym. Both locations are well equipped with space and equipment for effective workouts.

From woman pregnant with their first child; to competitive collegiate athletes; to seniors looking to maintain a modest fitness level. Health and fitness has become a very big part of my life.
“I learned how important diet and exercise were to a healthy lifestyle when I was a child. My father was stricken with heart disease and passed on at a very young age. Growing up I became very interested in building my body for sports and recreation. When it came time to choose a career path it seemed pretty obvious what was right for me. Seeing the impact of both heart disease and a healthy lifestyle on not just an individual, but the people around them steered me in the direction of the health and fitness field. Helping people live healthier, longer and more productive lives are why I go to work every morning.” – Gregg
